Frequently asked questions

mixed breed dog laying on her side, ready for massage

Where does the massage happen?
In the comfort of your home, in a quiet room where your dog and I can sit together. Or at Canine PT & Me if you live outside my service area.

How much is a dog massage?
An in-home dog massage is $75 plus a travel fee. We can discuss the details while scheduling.

What qualifies Lela to massage dogs?
Certification in Small Animal Massage from the NW School of Animal Massage, 350+ hours of documented hands-on time massaging dogs, and a huge amount of love for all pooches.

Why do you need to contact my vet?
The Oregon Veterinary Practice Act requires all massage professionals to have a veterinarian sign a referral before providing massage. This also creates a great opportunity to learn about any relevant medical history from the vet’s perspective, to help me tailor your dog’s massages.

Does VIP have insurance?
Of course! I am fully insured through the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals

Do you do cats?
I am not currently accepting any cat clients.

What does C.S.A.M.P. stand for?
Certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner, as opposed to a large animal massage practitioner a.k.a. equine/horse massage.
